Our box came looking like it had been to war so I was quite concerned about the product but everything was in perfect condition! So extra credit to the interior packaging!
Total build took us 3.5 hours but that includes one fifteen minute break and one major direction issue! We used a drill rather than the provided allenkey but made sure to have it on a low power setting and not to very tighten. Wed probably still be working if we had just used the allenkey. We also did need the recommended rubber mallet as some of the wooden dowels used for assembly did not want to go in. The issue we had was that the lower headboards support the desk and they have a correct direction that is not indicated in the directions. Thanks to some quick thinking we were able to correct the issue without too much trouble but it cost us about a half hour to so.
The product seems like it is made from quality wood. We didnt encounter any splitting and after building the bed and desk seem quite sturdy.
The biggest issue didnt have to do with the item itself but the delivery. It took quite awhile for it to come and I had paid for delivery on a particular date and time and they missed the delivery date and I had to wait five additional days. Since I had already sold the bed we had my daughter ended up sleeping on a mattress on the floor for a week. So definitely build in some extra shipping time to your plan.
Sturdy. Fairly easy to assemble. Definitely not a one person job for me. My son loves it. The stairs are wide enough not to hurt the feet as he goes up and down.
Wish it was just two inches more of underbed area but it will do. The wooden beam under bed has sharp edges so I will have to cover them because my little one will end up hitting his head. But it is an easy fix.
*** Biggest problem, it is missing one screw labeled D.
Well worth the money. Bought this and assembled it for granddaughter apt at college. Great space saver, color and definitely worth the price. Just have 2 people assemble. One to put together and the other to assist!
Delivery was a little slow to get here. The product is very sturdy and easy to put together. Only suggestion would be if the company could do a better job of labeling the hardware, possibly separating them in the plastic bags and labeling the bags with the bolt sizes. It took extra time trying to make sure you are using the correct bolts when putting it together. Overall we are very satisfied with the loft bed
This bed is sturdy and exactly what my daughter wanted!! Took longer then expected to put together but did it by myself so thats why. Quality product for the price!!
We couldnt be more ecstatic! It took my boyfriend and I months to find a loft bed that we felt was safe enough for our 7 year old. The bed came quicker than expected. We had a few cracked pieces, which the company was MORE THAN HAPPY to send replacements for. Its sturdy, has plenty of space for our little one to play underneath, as well as plenty of space to sit up when hes on the top bunk. We turned the bottom into a fort which saves so much space. This is the one yall, dont hesitate! Beware though, it took about 4 hours to put together. You definitely need two people to assemble.
Im finally happy! I have wanted a loft bed for more than 20 years. However my ex wasnt convinced lol! So I bought it for myself and actually gave my queen bed to my 11 year old. I think this full sized loft is perfect for the grownup! I have honestly never slept so good ever. I bought the same brand/type of mattress just in a smaller size. Its a full size Linenspa 8 hybrid type mattress.
Back to the bed. Input it together myself though I recommend a 2nd set of hands for parts in it and to make assembly quicker. You only need the provided Allen wrench and a small Phillips screwdriver (electric preferred). Its solid wood and has plenty of planks for the frame. It has approx 14 planks horizontally and 2 thicker boards vertically for amazing support. Im about 180 lbs and my 130 lb son will sit and watch tv with me and its perfectly safe and sturdy.
Ive had the bed about 2 weeks so will update it if any problems but I seriously recommend getting this if youre thinking about a loft bed. Also know that I had a hard time finding this bed in stock so get it now. This bed is sold elsewhere under different names but usually out of stock. It its one of the few low loft full size affordable beds out there. Enjoy!
Loved this bed for the added under storage/play area. It was easy for me to set up alone with minimal assistance. Pay attention to your long rails!! Only one side has the screw for ladder side.
